Job Title: Learning & Development Executive

Reports To: Head of Learning & Development / Head of Quality & Compliance

Role Purpose

We are looking for a proactive Learning & Development Executive to help drive a culture of confident, continuous learning across the organisation. This role blends hands-on training delivery, digital system ownership, and ongoing improvement of our learning practices.

You will:

• Champion our Care Management System (CMS) and act as the internal go-to expert
• Design and deliver engaging training for staff at all levels
• Lead the implementation and day-to-day administration of our Learning Management System (LMS)
• Support managers and teams to use digital tools safely, effectively, and in line with regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Care Management System (CMS) Champion

• Act as the internal subject matter expert for the CMS
• Lead onboarding and training for new starters and new services
• Create clear, accessible guides, SOPs and how-to resources
• Collaborate with operations, quality and IT to troubleshoot issues and improve workflows
• Monitor system usage, data quality and identify where coaching or refresher support is needed

2. Training Design & Delivery

• Plan, design and deliver engaging workshops, webinars and 1:1 coaching sessions
• Tailor content to different roles (care workers, seniors, managers, administrators)
• Use real scenarios and case studies to build practical confidence
• Evaluate training effectiveness and refine content based on feedback and performance data

3. Learning Management System (LMS) & E-Learning

• Lead the rollout and ongoing management of the LMS
• Set up learning pathways, mandatory training, and role-specific content
• Upload, test and maintain e-learning modules and resources
• Track completion rates, send reminders and support managers with follow-up
• Produce clear training reports for senior leaders, audits and inspections

4. Promoting a Culture of Continuous Learning

• Encourage a positive learning culture where staff feel empowered to develop their skills
• Support managers to embed learning into supervisions and team meetings
• Identify skills gaps and recommend targeted learning interventions
• Share best practice, success stories and quick learning tips across the organisation

5. Compliance & Quality

• Ensure all training and digital system use aligns with regulatory and internal standards (e.g. CQC)
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, LMS completions and CMS competency
• Support audit preparation and inspections with relevant training data

Person Specification

Experience

• Experience in Learning & Development, training or a similar role (ideally within health & social care)
• Practical experience training teams on digital systems or software
• Proven ability to deliver group workshops and/or virtual training
• Previous experience using an LMS is highly desirable
• Understanding of care sector standards and compliance (desirable but can be developed)

• Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
• Able to explain complex digital processes in simple, practical terms
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple programmes at once
• Comfortable analysing data and using LMS/CMS reports to drive improvements
• Strong influencing skillsable to coach, challenge and support teams
• A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications

• Training or L&D qualification (e.g. CIPD L&D, Train the Trainer) desirable
• Health & Social Care qualification desirable but not essential
• Strong IT literacy (MS Office/365, web-based systems, LMS platforms) essential
