Position: Pharmacist Intern

We are currently seeking motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as Pharmacist Interns for a 6-month contract.

As a Pharmacist Intern, you will work closely with our experienced pharmacists to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will have the opportunity to work in various areas of pharmacy, including dispensing, compounding, and patient counseling. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals seeking to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the dispensing of medications and ensure accuracy in drug selection, dosage, and labeling

- Learn and follow all state and federal laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations

- Collaborate with pharmacists to provide patient counseling and medication therapy management

- Participate in inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies

- Perform medication compounding and preparation under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner

- Continuously update your knowledge of medications, disease states, and treatment options

- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members

Qualifications:

- Enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program or recently graduated

- Eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the state of employment

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Proficient in computer and technology skills

- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed
