We are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead and manage all technology operations for a large, established, and fast-growing Forex/CFD trading company based in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The role oversees the full IT infrastructure, CRM systems, call-centre technologies, trading-related tools, cybersecurity, and all integrations that support the daily operations of the business.

The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, proven leadership experience, and a deep understanding of the Forex/online trading environment. This is a hands-on management role requiring excellent problem-solving, system ownership, and the ability to operate in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Experience & Background

  • 8–12+ years of experience in senior IT roles (Head of IT / IT Manager / Infrastructure Lead).

  • Experience in the Forex, CFD, Fintech, Online Trading, or Call Centre environment (mandatory).

  • Strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and system architecture.

  • Proven experience managing CRM systems, API integrations, and client portals.

  • Strong technical exposure to VoIP/SIP, dialers, call-centre technologies, and telephony systems.

  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance standards (POPIA/GDPR/AML).

  • Experience with trading systems, MT4/MT5 integrations, and low-latency environments (advantage).

  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary IT teams (DevOps, infrastructure, networking, support).

  • Strong vendor management skills (CRM providers, VoIP, cloud hosting, KYC tools).

  • Excellent understanding of networks, servers, cloud, APIs, automation, and monitoring tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Ability to document systems, processes, and technical architecture.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-departmentally.
