Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Small Plant Mechanic located in Durban. The Small Plant Mechanic will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of small plants and equipment. They will handle troubleshooting issues, conducting inspections, and ensuring all equipment operates efficiently. The role requires collaboration with other team members to schedule and perform regular maintenance activities, ensuring all safety standards are met and upheld.

Qualifications

  • Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair skills
  • Experience with Heavy Equipment and Troubleshooting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Relevant certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field is a plus
