About the Role

As a Piping Draughtsperson / Designer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality piping layouts and design deliverables for complex process plant projects. You will work closely with engineering, process, and construction teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and aligned with project objectives from concept through to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed
    3D piping layouts and models
    for process plant projects
  • Produce piping general arrangements, isometrics, and associated drawings
  • Perform piping routing and layout in line with process, mechanical, and constructability requirements
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
  • Coordinate piping layouts with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, structural, and EC&I
  • Incorporate constructability, operability, and maintainability considerations into designs
  • Support design reviews, model reviews, and clash detection activities
  • Update and manage drawings throughout the project lifecycle

Minimum Experience & Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience using AutoCAD Plant 3D (Piping)
  • Minimum 1-year SX plant layout experience using Inventor and/or Revit and Advanced Steel
  • Proven experience in
    process plant design within an EPCM environment
  • Demonstrated SX (Solvent Extraction) plant layout experience
  • Demonstrated SX plant piping experience
  • Strong understanding of process plant piping systems, layouts, and 3D modelling best practices

Qualifications

  • Relevant Draughting, Engineering Design, or technical qualification
  • Trade or industry-recognized draughting certification will be advantageous
