Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), primarily based in Pretoria with opportunities for remote work. The CISO will be responsible for leading and managing AVBOB's information security strategy and programs, overseeing cybersecurity, ensuring robust business continuity measures, and implementing and maintaining effective security protocols. Additionally, the CISO will work cross-functionally to safeguard AVBOB's information systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks, while proactively addressing emerging threats.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Information Security Management, Information Security, and Cybersecurity practices.
  • Strong skills in Business Continuity and proactive planning to ensure organizational resilience.
  • Experience in Application Security and implementation of effective security measures for software and systems.
  • Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in the financial and assurance industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines; relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are highly desirable.
