Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to monitor financial data and prepare accurate financial statements. The role involves budgeting, reporting, internal audits, and ensuring that all financial records are well-organised and reconciled. The successful candidate must be willing to travel when required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare underlying working papers for external audit purposes.
  • Compile and analyse budgets.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audit processes.
  • Manage financial statement audits and other agreed engagements.
  • Examine, analyse, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements.
  • Prepare annual, interim, monthly financial statements and management accounts.
  • Organise, prepare, and review bookkeeping transactions.
  • Gather and monitor financial data such as sales revenues and liabilities.
  • Identify, investigate, and report on accounting discrepancies.
  • Conduct risk analyses for potential investments.
  • Analyse financial trends.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • years of experience in a financial department.
  • Budget preparation and analysis experience.
  • IFRS statutory reporting experience (essential).
  • Extensive CaseWare experience (essential).
  • Tax experience (essential).
  • Sage ERP experience (advantageous).
  • Additional certification (e.g., CPA) is beneficial.
  • Experience with consolidations is advantageous.
