An Exciting Career Opportunity Exists for a Credit Controller based in Northriding

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Northriding reporting to the Team Leader Credit Controller.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Timely and effective collection of all debts (current - over 365 days)
  • Provide requested information to customer
  • Contact customers to ensure invoices will be paid
  • Resolve queries both internally and externally regarding outstanding invoices
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Update dunning keys/codes in SAP
  • Daily call report (min. 150 calls per month)
  • Compile supporting documentation for credit notes/journals to be passed
  • Request of credit reports for new customers
  • Prepare credit applications
  • Allocations (receipts, journals, credit notes)
  • Cash flow forecast – weekly/monthly
  • Maintain customer contact list
  • Customer visits
  • Achieve monthly target
  • Provide Weekly/monthly feedback on overdue accounts
  • Prepare AOD's for Customers
  • Report penalties from Government
    Assist with the preparation of the year-end audit file and all related functions pertaining to year end

Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • Matric
  • A certificate/ diploma in credit management or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
  • Valid Driver's License and Own Reliable Vehicle (Non-negotiable)
    Minimum of 3 years relevant experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of accuracy and accountability
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-matrix company in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience working with SAP systems
    Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite
