Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst to join a mission-driven organisation that is shaping the future of South Africas water and agriculture sectors. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in projects that promote innovation and investment in sustainable water and agricultural solutions, contributing to national and global green economy goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-cutting projects in the water and sustainable agriculture sectors.

  • Conduct high-quality market research, data analysis, and develop compelling business cases for green technologies and infrastructure.

  • Identify and address barriers to investment and uptake of green solutions in water and agriculture.

  • Support technology and service providers through intelligence dissemination, partnership facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society.

  • Provide strategic input to shape programme direction and contribute to broader green economy initiatives.

  • Represent the organisation at forums, workshops, and industry events.

Minimum Requirements

  • A postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level, in one of the following fields:

    Agriculture, Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Resource Management, or Environmental Sciences

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the agriculture or water sectors.

  • Demonstrated experience in:

    • Market analysis and industry research

    • Business case development and feasibility studies

    • Project management and reporting

    • Stakeholder engagement and facilitation

  • Solid understanding of South Africas agriculture and/or water sector and its policy landscape.

  • Existing network within the public and/or private stakeholders in these sectors is highly advantageous.
