Database & Linux Administrator

Ipay has a permanent Database & Linux Administrator position available.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the following on a day to day basis: 

1.    Deploying and supporting web applications

2.    Deploying and supporting Oracle and Postgres Databases

3.    Creating SQL scripts to resolve customer queries

4.    Deploy and manage Linux Operating systems

5.    Test deployed applications and troubleshoot configuration errors

6.    Interact with development and end-user personnel to determine application data access requirements and other relevant requirements

7.    Communicate both written and verbal activities with customers and Project Managers to meet specified project deadlines 

Prerequisites:

§  Experience working in an IT environment e.g. application support, database support or testing

§  Degree, BTech or National Diploma in Computer Science or similar

§  Linux LI-LE or similar certification

We are looking for candidates who have a positive attitude, are self motivated and have an aptitude for solving problems .  It is preferred the candidates have exposure to Linux Operating systems and have solid experience in writing SQL queries.
