Mine Geologist

• Diagnose, analyse and interpret geological data whilst implementing and improving geological systems and conducting underground mapping.
• Guide and support underground activities for the achievement of production targets through safe measures.
• People management (Ensure successful teamwork and supervision of Geology resources)
• Ensure compliance to organistaion and legislative standards and procedures
• Identify opportunities to optimise operations and participate in improvement projects

• Conduct Geology activities (underground drilling, development mapping, stope observations, borehole core logging and off reef mining and dilutions)

• NQF 8 (BSc Honours Degree) qualification in Geology

• Chamber of Mines Elementary Sampling certificate will be advantageous
• Minimum of 12 months post qualification experience as a geologist or Graduate Geologist in a mining or mining projects environment
• GSSA membership and SACNASP registration
• 3D modeling experience will be advantageous.

· Ability to communicate with people on different levels · No criminal record · Valid Driver's license and own transport · Valid Certificate of physical fitness
