Responsibilities also involve assembling furniture, fixing appliances, painting, and performing seasonal or preventative maintenance on both indoor and outdoor areas. Key requirements include proficiency with various tools, problem-solving skills, and physical ability for manual tasks. Key responsibilities

  • Repairs: Fix minor issues in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, such as leaky faucets, faulty light fixtures, and broken appliances.
  • Carpentry: Perform tasks like building shelves, installing cabinets, or repairing doors and windows.
  • Assembly and installation: Assemble and install furniture, shelving, and other fixtures.
  • Painting and decorating: Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, or handle wallpapering.
  • Maintenance and inspection: Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential problems.
  • Outdoor work: Perform light landscaping, such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and basic garden maintenance.
  • General tasks: Handle a variety of other duties, such as cleaning gutters, changing light bulbs, and moving equipment.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry. Experience with HVAC is a plus.
  • Tool proficiency: Ability to safely operate a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Problem-solving: Skill in diagnosing and fixing various issues.
  • Physical fitness: Stamina, strength, and dexterity for tasks like lifting heavy objects and working in tight or awkward spaces.
