Electrical panel manufacturer seeks a CAD designer.

Must have a sound understanding of the industry and processes required to meet the needs of engineers and contractors.

Will be required to form a base modelling strategy to best use the Inventor/CAD/Solidworks application to better coincide with the company's current fabrication methods and quoting processes.

Applicant must have a good understanding of sheet metal fabrication, specifically in relation to the electrical distribution industry. A further understanding of general Electrical Enclosure and Assembly philosophy and installations for reticulation, commercial and Industrial applications is part of the requirement.

A good understanding of mount configurations for switchgear and functionality with embedded constraints regarding creepage, components, termination, and access, is required.

All modelled enclosures and assemblies' components are to be tested to verify synchronisation that the assembly is successful for all parts, functionality and manufacture.

Any sheet metal fabrication experience (CNC Cutting, Nesting, Bending and Punching) will be a plus as well as an understanding of general construction and building principals.
