Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC, a leading automotive wholesaler committed to providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Warehouse General Worker/Driver at our Montague Gardens Branch. As a Warehouse General Worker/Driver, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operations of our warehouse by accurately picking, packing, collecting, and delivering automotive products.

Responsibilities but not limited to

  • Select items from stock based on order specifications and carefully pack them for shipment.
  • Inspect products for quality standards and report any discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of goods.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to achieve collective goals and meet customer demands.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and adhere to all safety guidelines.
  • Generate vehicle maintenance reports and ensure the cleanliness and representability of the vehicle.
  • Arrive at customers promptly.

Competencies Required:

  • Matric
  • Must have a valid south African code 8 driver's license.
  • Knowledge of the Northern suburbs and surrounding areas.
  • Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, with the ability to understand and communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and assist colleagues, including suppliers, transporters, sales staff, managers, and procurement teams.
  • Possess physical fitness for tasks that involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in tasks such as picking and packing.
  • Ability to work well independently, showing initiative and self-motivation.
  • Focus on identifying and solving challenges efficiently to contribute to a seamless workflow.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Consistent ability to follow instructions and apply common sense in daily tasks.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to count and demonstrate strong numerical abilities.
