Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly and timely.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure that financial records match bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Manage payroll functions, including data entry, calculation of employee wages, deductions, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Support month-end/year-end close processes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for review by management.
  • Implement and optimize financial systems and accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Caseware).

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in accounting or finance (Financial Controller/Senior Accountant role).
  • Thorough understanding of IFRS and financial accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Caseware) and advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
