ARC Power is on a mission to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy to people and businesses across sub-Saharan Africa. We are seeking a Global Head of Engineering (HoE) to define and lead the technical standards, methodologies, and governance that underpin our global operations.

About the Role
As Global Head of Engineering, you will lead ARC Power's global Engineering function, setting the standards for how energy systems are designed, built, and maintained across multiple countries. You will:

• Define the global engineering strategy and ensure alignment between technical direction and local delivery.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and design frameworks that guarantee quality, safety, and consistency.
• Build capability and drive continuous improvement, supporting local teams through structured training, mentorship, and professional development.
• Lead innovation and R&D, exploring and integrating emerging technologies in renewable generation, energy storage, and distribution.
• Collaborate globally, working closely with leaders across Construction, Technology, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless project delivery and functional excellence.
• Represent ARC Power's engineering function, communicating progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and external partners.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of ARC Power's mission - combining strategic oversight with practical enablement. You'll shape how engineering excellence is defined and delivered across our growing international footprint.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (postgraduate or chartered status preferred).
• 10+ years' experience in engineering leadership, ideally within utilities, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong track record in technical governance, standards development, and multi-country engineering delivery.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering collaboration and capability development across diverse contexts.
• Deep understanding of health, safety, and quality systems in engineering operations.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex technical data into strategic decisions.
• Excellent communicator with cultural awareness 
• Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly across the region.
