JOB OVERVIEW

Are you driven, self-motivated, and passionate about helping businesses and individuals grow while ensuring tax compliance? Mokopa Tax is seeking a professional and energetic Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team and drive our company's growth objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

As a Sales Consultant for Mokopa Tax, you will:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities (SMEs, individuals, property owners, etc.)
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking events, X, LinkedIn outreach, and referrals
  • Book and conduct introductory meetings, presentations, and site assessments for prospective clients
  • Work with our tax/accounting team to prepare quotes, proposals, and invoices
  • Coordinate with internal tax professionals to ensure client needs are clearly communicated and understood
  • Manage client queries and coordinate follow-ups (reminders, bookings, documentation)
  • Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with new clients and existing clients
  • Educate prospects on Mokopa Tax's suite of services (SARS compliance, VAT, tax disputes, financial statements, etc.)
  • Liaise with operations and deliver a seamless client experience
  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve the sales process and client satisfaction
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by management

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in a tax, accounting, or professional services environment

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Highly self-motivated, driven, and target-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills — confident when presenting to business owners and decision-makers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex tax/accounting services in a simple, client-friendly way
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting, tax, or finance is a plus

MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matric / Grade 12/Business certificate
  • Diploma, N6 or Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Accounting, or related field would be an advantage

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Valid driver's license (for client visits) (optional, added advantage)
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other South African languages is an advantage

REMUNERATION:

  • Competitive base salary (to cover essential costs) + uncapped commission
  • Bonuses or incentives for high performers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Internship, Graduate

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R10 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
