Seeking a Farm Electrician, with poultry experience (will be advantageous) and preferably 5 years' experience as an Electrician.

Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of designing and reading electrical drawings in order to do fault finding
  • Understand the principles of refrigeration and cooling systems (experience would be beneficial)
  • As an Artisan, be production-orientated
  • Knowledge of generators
  • Familiarity with management principles and job card systems
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Driver's license & own transport required
  • Grade 12
  • Qualified (Red Seal Certificate)
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and needs for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance
  • Test electrical systems and the continuity of circuit in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
  • Run electronic test and inspections
  • Conduct maintenance stock takes of maintenance spares and ensure that there is enough stock on hand
  • Monitor and check setters and hatchers for proper operation
  • Monitor and check ventilation (i.e. heaters, coolers and inside room conditions)
  • Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on hatchery equipment
  • Attend to all electrical faults on hatchery setter and incubator machines
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools
