We are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Governance, Risk & Compliance team. This role is critical in executing the internal audit programme and providing assurance to stakeholders on the company's adherence to complex compliance and regulatory requirements. You will also support the Head of Internal Audit in planning and driving continuous improvement of audit practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Planning & Direction:
    Assist in preparing and maintaining the internal audit roadmap, securing audit dates, and ensuring alignment with the audit plan.
  • Internal Auditing:
    Conduct complex audits across multiple teams and processes, assess control effectiveness, identify weaknesses, and recommend preventative measures. Maintain audit documentation and track findings until resolution.
  • Reporting & Escalation:
    Keep the Head of Internal Audit informed of significant changes, risks, and findings. Contribute to compliance reports reflecting audit activities and outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Research, analyse data, and recommend improvements to audit practices. Provide internal training and feedback to junior auditors.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Maintain stakeholder alignment, drive change management initiatives, and ensure adoption of audit practices.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Relevant Diploma/Degree in a related field
  • Experience: 4–6 years of relevant internal audit experience
  • Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of internal audit standards and best practices
    • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and controls
    • Ability to analyse and recommend process improvements

    • Results orientation
