A Consultant is a multidisciplinary design and draughting firm that delivers specialised draughting and design services to engineering companies. Our services are tailored to enhance the efficiency of drawing offices, providing solutions to ensure projects are executed seamlessly, on schedule and within budget.

Role Description

We are hiring a skilled Civil Draughtsperson to support a client-focused integration into Revit-based 3D coordination workflows. You'll work closely with engineers and other draughting disciplines to deliver high-quality civil and structural documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed civil engineering drawings for commercial and residential projects.
  • Develop designs for earthworks, stormwater systems, platforms, roads, and access ways.
  • Prepare detailed reinforced concrete drawings for foundations and structures.
  • Interpret topographical surveys and integrate accurate data into design workflows.
  • Create construction-ready 2D and 3D drawings, including installation drawings.
  • Model civil works in Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD to support 3D coordination and BIM integration.
  • Perform rebar detailing and generate accurate schedules and quantity take-offs.
  • Collaborate with other consultants, contractors, and project managers for smooth project execution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, RebarMate and, BIM necessary
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods and, detailing practices
  • Experience in producing concrete detailing and interpreting engineering calculations.

Important

  • Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Prior experience supporting fast-paced engineering projects on tight timelines.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for coordination with multiple teams.
  • Experience working on public infrastructure or large-scale urban projects.
  • Knowledge of SANS codes and local civil engineering standards.
