Location: Cape Town / Johannesburg / KwaZulu-Natal

Our client is on the lookout for a Level 2 IT Support Engineer who's passionate about problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving into complex IT challenges, supporting users, and ensuring systems run smoothly and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling escalated technical issues that go beyond Level 1 support.
  • Using diagnostic and remote tools to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Providing professional, friendly support to users and helping them get back up and running.
  • Installing and configuring hardware, software, and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and keeping asset records up to date.
  • Supporting IT security measures and promoting cybersecurity best practices.
  • Conducting training sessions and creating user guides for new systems and technologies.

Requirements

  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (or similar).
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in IT support, ideally at Level 2.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for technology and helping people.

Skills:

  • Communicate clearly and confidently.
  • Stay calm under pressure and think on your feet.
  • Take initiative and work well independently and in a team.
