KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

The successful candidate will be expected, among others:

  • Execution of cross-border road transport related investigations and route assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory policies, procedures, frameworks, standards, and accreditation procedures.
  • Support the Regulatory Committee in the execution of its functions.
  • Stakeholder relations management.
  • Risk management.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of Cross-Border Road Transport Act and its Regulations, as amended.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including, amongst others Criminal Procedures Act, National Land Transport Act,
  • Understanding of transport regulatory framework, i.e. legislation, national policy instruments and road transport agreements.
  • Experience in a regulatory or law enforcement environment.
  • CBRTA Regulatory Procedures & Processes.
  • General understanding of border management processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of vehicle technical standards.

Formal Qualifications:

  • Three-year National Diploma (NQF level 6) qualification in Traffic Management or Road Transport Management or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of Three (3) years relevant experience in Law Enforcement

Ideal

  • Experience in criminal investigation.
  • Experience gained from cross-border road transport environment.
