Cycle Counter

We are seeking a Warehouse Cycle Counter at Maersk (Defy Polokwane) plays an important role in maintaining high productivity of the warehouse through maintenance of daily cycle counting, and variances investigations of stock shortages and extras. The roles also involve developing of reports from WMS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Time and Attendances

• Report on duty on time, and complete signed in/off duties. Comply to leave management company policy. Flexible to work overtime and weekends planned duties.

Daily cycle Counting

• Planning and Champion scheduled cycle counts of inventory at different locations of the Warehouse using WMS stock movements, inventory.

Inbound stock receipts

• Quality verifications of loads received/off-loaded, and reports any discrepancies (Damages, Stock shortages, extras and incorrect stock) received items to be in-bound receipted using scanner, and GRV on WMS. Discrepancy identified to be immediately reported to Supervisor or Manager within the same day.

Outbound Orders Dispatches

• Quality inspections and verifications of all loads before dispatched against invoices and supporting documents with assigned security officers. No orders without paper works (invoices and supporting documents) to loaded for dispatched. Any discrepancies on paperwork or stock accuracy to be reported to the supervisors of manager for corrective actions.

Assts care

• Exercise care to company assets: Scanners, Pallets, stock /Products and computers

Housekeeping

• All stock records to be file safely in chronological sequences

Reporting Generations

• Generates different reports related to stock management and high-lighting discrepancies and other risks.

Warehouse -housekeeping

• Participates to warehouse house-keeping practice to maintained stock integrity and safe keeping/holding of stock

Discrepancy Resolution

• Investigate and resolve inventory variances and discrepancies efficiently, collaborating with warehouse associates to identify root causes.

Report Generation and Analysis

• Generate and analyse inventory reports from the WMS to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Storage Management

• Assist in maintaining organized and efficient storage locations through precise inventory management.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Health and Safety

• Adhere to company health and safety policies implemented such as : attendances to safety meeting and other committees, comply to warehouse policies

Inbound and Outbound Orders Processing

• Assist Warehouse Operators with the inbound and outbound orders processing (Picking, Lading of Orders, Quality Checking of orders and off-loading of stock)

Stock Bins Locations

• Ensure stock bin is kept updated and stock is orderly put-away
