- Developing and implementing engineering methods, policies and procedures to ensure the project is completed successfully.
- Supervising construction staff
- Evaluating any technical issues and providing the appropriate solutions
- Making sure that the project adheres to all government and industry standards and guidelines
- Performing field quality control observations and assessments
- Inspecting and assessing the quality of materials being used for construction projects
- Calculating the quantity of material, supplies and equipment needed for each individual project
- Ensuring availability of resources and materials at all times
- Preparing periodic reports and assessments for each project phase
- Responsible for all construction activities being carried out in accordance to preset safety rules
- Ensuring availability of all resources and coordinating with the client to prepare all outage schedules and provide recommendations for all repair work while ensuring compliance to all timeframes
- BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 15 years` experience (Senior / Principal Level)
- Have a Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng)
- Must have worked in large civil engineering projects that have involved
- Earthworks, pipelines and drainage structures experience is essential
