Sales Intern

Lasec International is looking to recruit a Sales Intern to join the Team based at the Ndabeni Office in Cape Town. The focus of this job will be to assist the International Sales Team in their sales activities in the international arena.
Requirements that must be met:
- Bachelor of Science degree or similar B Tech degree. Majors in microbiology, biochemistry, chemical pathology, or genetics will be advantageous as well as experience in working with laboratory equipment.
- A good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. English is the primary business language.
- Possess high levels of self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets.
- Dealing with existing clients and new clients who contact the Company.
- Establishing and developing relationships with the clients.
- Taking specifications from the client, researching the products required and correlating these to the products sold by the Company and developing a quotation for the client.
- Following up with the clients.
- Support and assist external sales representatives where necessary.
- Update and maintain the customer database.
Remuneration will be discussed at final interview stage.
