Superintendent Security

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Superintendent role supports the Senior Manager within Foskor Mining Division to manage resources and investigate breaches of security and contractor management. Initiate and manage appropriate systems within the Division to minimize risks relating to the security of employees, assets, contractor management. Manage all day-to-day shift operations

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EXPOSURE REQUIRED:

Qualification:

• Grade 12
• Degree in Security Management/ Public Management or Policing

Training/ Professional Body:

• PSIRA Grade A or B
• Business acumen
• Computer knowledge

Experience:

• 5 years' experience in SHEQ related industry
• 5 years' experience in Mining related industry
• 5 years' experience in management/Supervisory in security and contractor management position.

HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS:

• Align security incidents and security management regarding legislation and best practice, with training needs and requirements
• Do regular security inspections to identify unsafe conditions
• Make use of formal inspections
• Investigate security injuries and accidents
• Assist with the control and evacuation during an emergency.
• Undertake management of SHREQ elements and legislative requirements to ensure compliance with required standards and procedures in area of responsibility
• Provide input into Foskor improvement projects with site establishment to ensure appropriate onsite control.
• Perform security evaluation of contractor risk assessments to determine sufficient controls are established to prevent employee exposure
