Position: Finance Manager
Location: Namibia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, forecasts, annual budgets and year-end financial results.
  • Ensure the preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Manage the debtors process, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations to maintain optimal cash flow.
  • Review creditor reconciliations and approve supplier payments in line with company policies.
  • Monitor daily bank balances, ensure sufficient cash flow and optimise interest earnings.
  • Conduct checks, analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Liaise with divisions to resolve accounting issues and ensure consistency of financial practices.
  • Identify, implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, managing timely and accurate delivery of all financial outputs.
  • Partner with management to provide financial insights and support in key decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, ACCA or similar are highly preferred

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in cash flow management, budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Experience with SAP an advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel (advanced).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent planning and analytical abilities.
  • Proactive thinking and adaptability.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with high integrity.
