RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our client in Rosebank, Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated financial professional to support the management of fixed income portfolios, including money market, income, bond, and medical funds. If you have a passion for credit research and analysis, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit research on companies and governments whose debt investments are considered.

  • Monitor changes in credit conditions of current investments to identify attractive trading opportunities.

  • Perform in-depth research on potential new investment opportunities.

  • Work closely with the fixed income portfolio manager in analyzing credit risk.

  • Prepare detailed research reports and present findings to the team.

  • Participate in the management of multi-managed portfolios.

  • Contribute to broader activities within the public markets investment team, including discretionary management of institutional and retail funds and advisory consulting to institutional funds.

Requirements:

  • Honours degree in a related field (Finance, Mathematics, etc.).

  • CFA qualification is advantageous.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in credit analysis.

  • Self-starter with strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Ability to conduct independent research and offer well-informed opinions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in presenting findings effectively.
