Essential Skills Requirements

  • Frontend Technologies:
    Angular 17+, TypeScript, Playwright, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, , React (advantageous)
  • Tools:
    Azure, Git, GitHub for version control, Docker, DevOps
  • Strong understanding of integration across multiple technologies
  • Ability to coordinate effectively between development and support environments
  • Support in developing business cases
  • Planning, monitoring, and reporting activities
  • Translating and simplifying technical and business requirements
  • Requirements gathering, analysis, management, processing, and communication
  • Supporting the identification and management of risks
  • Performing additional responsibilities as defined in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

Advantageous Skills Requirements

  • Experience in web and digital projects
  • Agile working experience
  • Background in the insurance industry

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A relevant IT degree or recognised certification
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

Role and Responsibilities

Projects

  • Experiment rapidly with various solution options
  • Implement pixel-perfect user interface designs
  • Develop re-usable HTML and JavaScript logic
  • Ensure all code is clean, readable, extendable, and scalable
  • Maintain and update stylesheets where required
  • Deliver implementations that can be easily handed over to other developers with minimal interruption
  • Refine frontend behaviour to ensure an excellent user experience
  • Maintain exceptional quality in all aspects of client-side application development
  • Ensure all processes have been considered and evaluated when defining user requirements
  • Propose and review system designs and evaluate alternative approaches
  • Present proposed system solutions to the IT Project Manager/Lead and relevant stakeholders
  • Develop system solutions in accordance with quality standards and project delivery timelines
  • Ensure all required steps in the development lifecycle are adhered to

Maintenance Requests

  • Present proposed system solutions to the User Organisation
  • Prepare system and technical documentation
  • Develop user and operational manuals
  • Conduct user training when required
  • Perform system testing and parallel runs
  • Conduct unit testing
  • Oversee system implementation
  • Perform system audits and quality assurance checks
  • Obtain user sign-off for completed work
