Our client in the Agricultural sector is looking for Agronomist/Horticulturist with citrus crop experience to join their team in Nelspruit area.

Minimum requirements:
  • MSc in Agriculture, specialising in Horticulture or Soil Science 
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in citrus or equivalent crop production/advisory roles 
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English 
  • Training in data analytics for agriculture would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with GIS tools or spatial data platforms for orchard mapping and variability tracking
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Experience with digital platforms for remote sensing, crop modelling, or agronomic recommendations
  • Proficiency in water and irrigation management-(soil moisture probes, fertigation scheduling, drainage planning, and salt leaching techniques
  • Understanding of local agricultural legislation, food safety, and environmental compliance frameworks (e.g., GlobalG.A.P., SIZA, DALRRD guidelines)
