We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Primary School Teacher
to teach
Afrikaans First Additional Language (FAL)
and provide holistic support to learners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, committed to learner development, and able to work collaboratively within a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Teach Afrikaans FAL in accordance with the CAPS curriculum.
  • Provide academic instruction, pastoral care, and administrative support to learners.
  • Develop structured lesson plans and integrate ICT to enhance learning.
  • Assess, record, and report learner progress accurately and timeously.
  • Provide emotional and academic support, identifying and addressing learning barriers.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Participate in professional development and uphold the school's values.
  • Support or lead extra-mural activities and contribute to school events.

Qualifications, Requirements & Skills Include:

  • Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Intermediate Phase.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of classroom teaching experience
  • SACE registration (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Afrikaans (read, write, comprehend).
  • Strong communication skills in English (LoLT).
  • Computer literacy and excellent time management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
