Role Overview

We are looking for a patient-centered Oral Hygienist who can step in confidently on days when we require additional support. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible and able to work independently when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform professional dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing
  • Conduct oral assessments and assist in maintaining patient oral health
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes and records
  • Assist the team with sterilisation and infection control protocols
  • Ensure a smooth and professional patient experience

Requirements

  • HPCSA-registered Oral Hygienist
  • Valid professional indemnity
  • Prior experience in a private dental practice preferred
  • Ability to work independently with confidence
  • Friendly, professional, and patient-focused
  • Must be available on an ad hoc basis (weekdays only)

Working Arrangement

  • Locum / ad hoc days only
  • Weekdays as needed (no guaranteed hours)
  • Opportunity for ongoing locum shifts based on performance and availability
