The position of
Process Technical Manager
has arisen within our
Technical
team, based in
Gqeberha
. This position will report to the
Site Manager.

Preference will be granted to Employment Equity candidates.

Purpose:

To implement new and existing formulations and processes into the factories. Ensure the optimization of current production formulae and processes and ensure that quality standards are maintained in the Gqeberha factory.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Achieving Factory Technical objectives
  • Improving cost of sales and reducing manufacturing input costs.
  • Achieving corporate governance
  • Optimising resources and processes
  • Ensuring product quality
  • Implementation of new product development (formulations)
  • Provide Technical assistance in order to secure product availability
  • Developing individual and team competence
  • Managing performance
  • Maintaining organisational climate
  • Managing Technical training
  • Coaching and mentoring staff

Skill, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years Automotive/Industrial Paint Technical/Production Environment and Lab experience
  • Ability to organize disparate functional elements to achieve outcomes
  • Leadership and Emotional Intelligence
  • High Aptitude for Numeracy, manipulate numbers and understand trends
  • Ability to collate and organize data, analyze information and make decisions
  • Communication and Influence
  • Achieving through others, Strong Coaching and Empowering Skills
  • Technical Understanding (SHERQ, HR, Manufacturing, Maintenance)
  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing Processes

Educational Qualifications & Personal Attributes:

  • Minimum - BSc, B-Tech Chemistry
  • Leadership Skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Problem Identification and Resolution Skills
  • High Level of Computer Literacy Skills
