Introduction

To oversee the oil refinery plants and to maximise the use of available plant and people resources to ensure the efficient production of high-quality refined oil and related products to service customer orders and production requirements timeously.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the following production lines within the Willowton PMB plant:
  • Managing Edible oil refining process,chemical and physical,palm wax,Mill, crushing and solvent (soya and sunflower) and by products,Lecithin,soap-saponification and drying. coal & husk fired boiler
  • Degumming, bleaching
  • Winterizing
  • Deodorization
  • Fractionation
  • Related utility and support processes
  • Provide support and guidance to all oil refinery operations within the Willowton Group, and to ensure consistency of operation and quality.
  • Planning and scheduling of production lines to support sales demand and / or stock targets.
  • Ensuring production is done efficiently and making the most use of available resources.
  • Ensuring plant equipment is well maintained and setup correctly to OEM and Willowton Group standards.
  • Assist with the design and planning of new refinery plants or refinery processes and equipment installation and commissioning thereof to world class standards.
  • Production output metrics (volume, quality, waste, efficiency)
  • Planning adherence (volume, timing)
  • Maintenance audits
  • Projects completed / in progress
  • On-time completion of installation projects.
  • Validation of equipment performance against specifications.
  • Feedback from production teams on the effectiveness of installations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or a master's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university or college
  • 10 years work experience in edible oil refinery operations
  • 5 years managerial experience
  • Familiar with HACCP & BRC requirements
