Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting with reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger postings and journal entries.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Process and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, and audit preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and system efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Working Hours
  • Full-time role (remote).
  • Standard business hours (aligned with U.S. Eastern Time)
