This HUB Leader role is a commercial leadership position with a key focus on strengthening operational excellence, driving commercial performance, elevating customer experience, and ensuring we deliver the highest level of partnership and support across the HUB.This role operates within a dynamic, matrix-driven environment and requires close collaboration across regional and functional teams. The HUB Leader will be based in Gauteng with regular engagement across the HUB. Travel will be required to support customers, teams, and key stakeholders. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional partnership, effective communication, and the ability to lead with agility in a fast-paced and highly accountable commercial environment.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Directly contributes to the attainment of commercial and operational goals across the business units within the HUB in support of the company's overall financial and strategic objectives
- Establishes budgets, short and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success
- Ensures sales strategies are aligned to Business Unit strategies and that support to the field is in place
- Oversees new product/market introductions, sales training programs, key surgeons/key account visits and attendance at key industry congresses and meetings
- Provides strategy and direction for ongoing business development, implementation of marketing plans, development of sales and market development objectives and tools, and growth of the business for the region
- Leads, develops, and supports diverse teams, cultivating a culture of performance excellence, accountability, and meaningful engagement that enables people to do their best work in service of our mission.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Requires broad sales, business development and management knowledge to lead multiple teams
- Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within the sales discipline, with broad understanding of other areas within the job function
- Requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant sales and management experience
- Post graduate qualification will be advantageous
- Strong demonstration of consistent sales success
- Demonstrates solid people development capability, nurturing talent and empowering individuals to grow, perform, and thrive.
