The HET LDP intends to identify and nurture academic talent early in the academic development trajectory, and to support newly recruited academics to develop teaching expertise; develop research skills, including scientific publication skillsAppointment within the Ntinga: HET (LDP) will be made such that staff equity targets are met, with preference to black and/or women South African citizens. To be eligible for selection for the post, applicants must meet the following criteria, in addition to meeting the minimum criteria specified for the post.Be a CPUT registered post graduate student studying towards a Masters or doctoral qualification Show interest in becoming an academic at CPUTBe 40 years or youngerBe willing to undertake Learning and Teaching responsibilities within the departmentThe purpose of this post is to support the faculty and the department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives which include teaching according to a set syllabus; undertake research and innovation; contribute to curriculum development and design; engage in work integrated learning, and develop service-learning activities, support students at all levels, prioritising first year students through active participation in the First Year Experience and Academic Advising programmes.
