Job Summary
As an Auxiliary Nurse at Netcare Hospitals, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care, supporting the nursing team, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. You will contribute to the overall well-being of patients by assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a high standard of care in line with Netcare's values.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and other daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
* Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the registered nurse promptly.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment, including tidying beds, changing linen, and ensuring supplies are readily available.
* Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth and supportive process.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a compassionate and caring atmosphere.
* Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
* Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhanced patient care and operational efficiency.
* Adhere strictly to Netcare's values and caring principles in all interactions and tasks.
* Collaborate effectively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
* Demonstrate a strong personal work ethic, taking initiative and accountability for assigned duties.
* Respond efficiently and calmly to emergency situations, adapting to changing circumstances.
Job Qualifications
