Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a demand, (planning) contract administration service through the monitoring, reporting and execution of amendments, additions, adjustments, variations and addendum to contracts and compliance, performance management and risk management.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Financial Management, SCM policy development, Commerce, Public Administration or Supply Chain Management; A minimum of 1 year related supply chain management experience.

Key Performance AreasCoordinate, review, undertake and implement the supply chain demand management process and policies; Render effective Contract Management services; Render risk management and performance monitoring services with regard to supply chain internally and externally; It will be advantageous to have the following experience: Strategic sourcing and entire procurement value chain; Execution of Contract Management Administration.
CompetenciesKnowledge of the following: Public Sector policies and regulations (Public Financial Management Act (Act of 1999) Public Service Act (Act 103 of 1994); Prescripts, policies and procedures governing financial and supply Chain Management; National Treasury Contract Management Framework; National Treasury Regulations (NTR), National and Provincial Treasury`s Supply Chain Management Instructions/Note/Circulars, Supply Chain Management Policies/legislations/Acts; public sector procurement processes, contract management, monitoring supplier performance.
Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Planning and orginisational; Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines, work in a team and preparedness to work overtime when required; Management and leadership.
RemunerationR R per annum (Salary level 8)

NotesShortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
