Gymnastic Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION: GYMNASTIC COACH - (Half day afternoon post - Artistic)

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Field: Sports and Education

Short Description of Position: The ideal candidate is a qualified Preschool and Level 1 to 3 artistic Gymnastics Coach capable of developing, planning, and executing lesson plans. The position requires a passion for gymnastics, a love for teaching, and a commitment to the development of young athletes.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute lesson plans aimed at the development of gymnastics skills.
• Always be on time for classes to maintain a professional environment.
• Provide constructive feedback to athletes about their progress.
• Organize and lead training sessions and competitions.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Working with girls between ages 2.5 and 10 years
• Types: Pre-school, competitive, recreational

Critical Requirements:

• A GSA certificate and a minimum of 2 years of coaching experience.
• If not having a GSA certificate, at least 3 years of coaching experience.
• Must have own transport or able to make a plan.
• GSA WAG 1A / FIG level 1

Beneficial Requirements:

• A FIG certificate is a plus.

Different Workplaces:

• Work at various locations.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Regular Working Hours and Days:

• Mondays: 14h30 till 18h00
  
• Tuesday-Thursday: 13h30-18h00
• May change as schools and amount of gimnast change

Work Week:

• Fixed work week

Regular Annual Leave:

• 1 day for every 17 days worked

Sick Leave:

• 30 sick leave days in a 3-year sick leave cycle

Family Leave:

• 3 days per annual leave cycle

Maternity Leave:

• Must work a minimum of 3 years to be paid for maternity leave.

Notice Period:

• 4 weeks if employed for longer than one year.

Contract Duration:

• Permanent

Salary for the Position:

• R100/hour (For 38 hours a month - c. R3800 per month) - may increase with increase of gymnasts / schools. - Negotionable in regard to experience

Frequency of Payment:

• Monthly

Possibility of Promotion in the Position:

• Yes, there are opportunities for promotion based on performance.

Basic Skills Training:

• Will be provided through a GSA course.
