Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP):

Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America's largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be required to work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hours and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.

Major Responsibilities:

• Preparing scheduling data for proposals or contract negotiations.
• Establishing and maintaining the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty.
• Performing schedule development tasks, including the creation of the work breakdown structure (WBS), determination of the duration of work activities, establishment of the logical workflow links and development of the required labor expenditure.
• Performing the monitoring of the schedule, including the identification of critical activities and the updating of functions for specific applications, disciplines or specialties.
• Assisting with the maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics.
• Performing schedule analysis and problem area studies to determine the criticality of schedule activities.
• Monitoring and validating subcontractors' schedules.
• Assisting with schedule recovery plans.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 9-12 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Professional with an understanding of the area of specialization, solving a wide range of problems.
• Works on problems of various kinds where data analysis requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Demonstrates judgment in the selection of methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
• Considered skilled and competent in discipline.
• Professional level position within the field.
• Minimal supervision with some latitude for judgment and may assist less experienced team members.
