ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're looking for a highly skilled in-house pharmacist for a new venture we are in the process of launching. In addition to that, candidates need to have an appetite to support other parts of the business which will provide great exposure and learning opportunities. If successful, you'll work closely with a selective team of the broader Silvertree group. The role will be based in Cape Town.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dispensing scheduled medication according to prescriptions and SAHPRA guidelines.
• Checking of orders that contain Schedule 1 and 2 medicines to ensure our customers safety.
• Main point of reference for SAHPRA related topics and communication 
• Conducting thorough medication reviews to ensure patient safety and medication adherence.
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information on medication use and potential side effects.
• Be available to answer customer queries and offer guidance on health and wellness related topics via phone, email or via online live consultations.
• Contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of our customers by offering advice on natural remedies and complementary therapies.
• Manage the process to get our warehouse/physical site certified to be able to take delivery, store and dispense of prescriptions drugs to any schedule
• Manage the process of stock ordering supported by in-house and 3rd party tools
• Contributing to content creation via written text or video on health wellness related topics.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified pharmacist that is able to sign off on dispatching/delivering prescription medication for customer through an online/digital platform
• Extensive knowledge of the SAPHRA regulations
• Has experience in dispensing scheduled medication in a retail setting.
• Experience in working with claims platforms from insurance providers
• Keen interest in the health and wellness sector
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
• Experience in content creation would be an added plus.
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams (Marketing, Tech and Data).
• Proven ability to work independently, make decisions, and problem-solve in complex environments.
