Job Summary

Work as part of a DevOps team, apply analysis & testing tools, frameworks, techniques and practices to elicit, define and organize business requirements into user stories. And following this analysis, work collaboratively within squads during design & delivery activity with a specific focus on testing.

Job Description

Role Focus: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented candidate with a strong focus on data analytics, and a solid understanding of data engineering and data science. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data solutions that meet their needs.

  • Develop and maintain data solutions to support various business units.

  • Data manipulation and analysis.

  • Creation of basic and advanced visualisations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including various product houses and other data teams to understand their data needs and deliver insights.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data management.

  • Management of projects to ensure timely delivery of quality results in accordance with stakeholder expectations.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python, with a focus on PySpark.

  • Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data.

  • Experience working in Databricks for data engineering and analysis tasks is advantageous.

  • Ability to create visualizations in Databricks and/or PowerBI.

  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and version control systems like GitHub.

Key Metrics:

  • Deliver high-quality results that meet stakeholder expectations.

  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity in all analyses and reports.

  • Ability to work in high-pressure environment and meet deadlines.

Team Structure: 

You will be a key member of the data team, working closely with various business units to provide insights and support decision-making processes. Collaboration and communication with marketing, finance, and product development teams will be essential.

Project Examples:

  • Translating stakeholder business challenges into actionable data-driven solutions.

  • Conducting data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.

  • Developing dashboards and reports to showcase insights for different business units.

  • Collaborating with data engineers and data scientists to implement data pipelines and machine learning models.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years experience in a data role.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
