This role provides opportunities to deliver key strategic communications activities whilst also managing volunteers. It will include both strategic and operational responsibilities across communications and partnerships.

The role requires a creative-thinker and relationship builder with experience in delivering outstanding brand and partnerships growth. The individual in this role will be a brilliant communicator, with a track record of creating mutually-beneficial partnerships.

This role will have solid experience of managing marketing/ brand strategies and partnerships and be an adaptable team player able to support the wider company when necessary whilst continuing to manage your own workload.

Main responsibilities:

Delivering the global communications strategy and implementing communication campaigns within South Africa, as part of the wider team.

Seeking out and developing ways parkrun can, through our communication, reach new audiences.

Acting as a brand guardian, ensuring the style and branding guides are adhered at all times and that the messaging, aesthetic and tone of voice is appropriate, applied consistently across the company and of a high quality.

Ensuring consistency of messages between parkrun South Africa and parkrun Global, engaging with meetings and campaigns to make this possible,

Managing, developing and maintaining parkrun's partner and sponsor relationships including contributing to the production of reports required as a condition of funding.

Attending and organising regular meetings with parkrun's partners and sponsors to

develop and implement campaigns

report on their progress as a partner/sponsor

identify opportunities to deepen audience engagement

respond with any concerns/issues

help the partner/sponsor achieve their partnership objectives

Report on updates and progress, monitor and evaluate the partnership and success of campaigns.

Highlight any potential opportunities to appropriate internal stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience in communications, public relations, marketing, related field or similar experience.

Broad and proven experience of delivering communications, partner and press campaigns within a fast-paced environment.

Detailed understanding of project management principles, with the ability to organise, delegate and deliver within the comms team and the wider charity.

Solid experience in a communications and relationship management role, preferably within community development or sports.

Proven experience in digital marketing.
