Lead, Grow & Drive Sales — Join a Leading Steel Supplier as the Kimberley Branch Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve budgeted sales targets across internal and external sales teams.
  • Open new accounts, maintain loyalty accounts, and ensure all customer details are accurately updated on the system.
  • Assist the debtor's department with account-related queries.
  • Process invoices and ensure all manual invoices are captured on Syspro daily.
  • Set promotions and monitor slow-moving stock daily.
  • Support sales staff with delivery issues and follow up on outstanding deliveries.
  • Handle incoming calls and convert enquiries into sales.
  • Actively follow up on leads and ensure strong customer engagement.
  • Oversee prompt service delivery to walk-in and cash customers.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Update and correct cost and selling prices on the system.
  • Conduct price comparisons with competitors and submit updates to management.
  • Evaluate customer buying experiences regularly and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and update the customer database for marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all customers are visited monthly by external sales and contacted monthly by internal sales.
  • Authorize and process credit notes daily.
  • Verify authorization of EFT payments before releasing stock.
  • Ensure payments are received for all COD deliveries and update relevant registers.
  • Ensure all credit notes are processed on Syspro prior to issuing cash refunds.

Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Steel & Tube and/or Fluid Control products.
  • Management experience, preferably in a Sales environment.
  • Syspro system experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work retail hours.
  • Valid driver's license.
