Job Description: IT & Finance Recruiter
As an IT & Finance Recruiter, your primary purpose is to attract, source, and hire top talent across Information Technology and Finance functions. You will play a key role in identifying and engaging high-calibre candidates, ensuring a seamless recruitment process, and supporting the organisation's growth through strategic hiring.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Screening
Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies across job boards, LinkedIn, social media, networks, and referrals.
- Source for IT roles including: Data Engineers, Security Analysts, Software Developers, Application Support Analysts.
- Source for Finance roles including: Financial Accountants, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables.
- Screen resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and suitability.
- Conduct telephonic, virtual, and in‑person pre-screening interviews.
Assess technical skills, functional knowledge, and overall culture fit.
Collaboration With Hiring Managers
Engage with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and role requirements.
- Draft clear, compelling job descriptions for IT and Finance positions.
Provide market insights and talent availability advice to hiring teams.
End-to-End Recruitment Management
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate technical assessments.
- Conduct reference checks and Lexis Nexis verifications when required.
- Prepare and extend offers, ensuring smooth onboarding handover.
Maintain accurate and fully updated recruitment folders and ATS records.
Candidate Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong candidate relationships across IT and Finance talent pools.
- Ensure a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
Proactively nurture pipelines for recurring and high-demand roles.
Industry Awareness and Best Practices
Stay informed on IT and Finance market trends, salary benchmarks, and skills demands.
- Research new sourcing avenues, including external partners and niche platforms.
Continuously optimise recruitment processes, tools, and methodologies.
Recruitment Systems & Reporting
Use ATS platforms to manage pipelines and track progress.
- Generate recruitment reports and provide insights to management.
Ensure accurate data entry and reporting across all systems.
Compliance, Policies & Ethical Standards
Ensure compliance with South African labour regulations.
- Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and communication standards.
- Maintain fair, unbiased recruitment practices.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vacancies and prioritise deadlines.
- Tech proficiency: ATS systems, MS Office Suite, recruitment platforms.
- Adaptability and resilience within fast-paced environments.
- Strong stakeholder management ability.
This position can hybrid and can be done from Cape Town or Johannesburg.
