Requirements

  • 4-year tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Molecular Biology

and Ecology/Environmental Resource Management.

  • MSc or PhD will be an advantage.
  • Unemployed South African graduates below the age of 35

years who reside in Cape Town

  • Must be eligible to register with the South African Council for

Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) within 3 months

of appointment.

  • The internship consists of full-time work during office hours.
  • Driver's license will be an advantage.

Key Performance Areas

  • Conduct Analysis of Water and/or air quality data in line with

the relevant Quality management systems in place.

  • Plan, implement, conduct, and participate in research projects

to improve the water and air quality in the City of Cape Town

  • Use statistical software for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Participate in all activities for the Branch relevant to Blue Drop

and Green Drop.

  • Assist in Coordinating activities related to development of

Scientific Services in general.

  • Assist in Coordinating activities related to the establishment

of collaborative agreements with external research Institutions.
