Position Title: Retail Reception & Sales Consultant – Medical Division

About the Role

Join a rapidly growing national medical retail group with 25 established branches and continued expansion ahead. We are seeking professional, confident, and motivated individuals to represent our brand, manage client interactions, and drive in-store performance.

This role combines reception, administration, and retail sales, together with customer engagement and promotional activities aimed at creating awareness of our medical products and services.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage daily store operations to ensure professional service delivery and smooth workflow
  • Handle reception and administrative functions, assisting customers both in-store and telephonically
  • Actively promote, upsell, and recommend products and accessories to maximise sales performance
  • Identify, attract, and follow up on new business leads to generate store revenue
  • Participate in public promotional campaigns, including mall activations and community outreach events
  • Assist in offering complimentary ear screening tests to members of the public as part of monthly promotional initiatives (training provided)
  • Support light technical and laboratory duties as required

Training & Development

All new team members receive comprehensive training in:

  • Customer care and professional sales techniques
  • Product knowledge and technical assistance
  • In-store operations and promotional campaign execution

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanour
  • Sales ability and negotiation skills, with a drive to achieve and exceed targets
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Call Centre, Telesales, Cold Calling, Insurance, Estate Agency, or Retail Sales
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
  • Administrative competence and computer literacy
  • Reliability, with own transport and mobile phone
  • Ambition and self-motivation, with a desire to earn beyond the basic salary

Compensation & Benefits

  • Basic Salary: R10 000 per month
  • Commission: Attractive performance-based structure and additional incentives
  • Growth: Clear career progression within a well-established and expanding medical retail group
  • Probation Period: 3 months, with potential for advancement based on performance
