• Design innovative engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency and operability in accordance with company standards and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards in all operations and engineering designs.
• Manage and optimize budgets, focusing on cost efficiency and recovery in engineering projects.
• Lead and oversee maintenance, risk assessments, and quality assurance in the heavy industry sector.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to address technical needs.
• Contribute to the development of high-performance teams by promoting company values and performance excellence.

• BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in maintenance, hazard identification, risk assessment, procurement, project engineering, and management in the heavy industry (Essential/Minimum)
• Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) (Essential/Minimum)
• Completion of a Management Development Programme (Recommended/Desirable)
• Possession of a Government Certificate of Competence in Engineering (Recommended/Desirable)
• Strong proficiency in technical design, erection, installation, and project management
• Expertise in budget management and cost efficiency within engineering projects
• Capability to oversee and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and legislation
• Proficiency in managing professional networks and participating in relevant engineering forums and communities
