Job Summary:

Netcare Hospitals (Pty) Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the healthcare finance sector, supporting various financial operations and contributing to the efficient running of our hospitals.

Job Responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Support the finance department in budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
* Reconcile financial discrepancies and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
* Assist with data entry and the maintenance of financial databases.
* Conduct research and analysis on financial data as requested.
* Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information.
* Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the finance team.
* Adhere to all company policies and financial regulations.

Job Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
* Strong academic record.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A strong desire to learn and contribute to a professional finance environment.
* Prior experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus, but not required.
